John P. Rolbiecki, age 61, of Chetek, WI passed away suddenly January 28, 2026 at his home. He was a proud graduate of Chippewa Falls McDonell High School and attended UW-Stout graduating with a degree in Industrial Technology. John used his manufacturing engineering skills throughout his working career at Trek Bicycles in Waterloo, Parker Hannifin in Mauston and then retiring from Generac Power Systems in Whitewater a few years ago. He recently moved to Chetek. His love of recreating outdoors began at an early age while camping with his family and hunting and fishing with his father and brother. He loved playing hockey and developed a true passion for bicycle riding. He walked many miles on the Ice Age Trail, kayaking, fishing and bicycling with his wife. He also enjoyed trap shooting and bow hunting. He became skilled at designing and building a variety of woodworking projects. He was an active volunteer whether it was at his church, donating blood, coaching youth hockey and soccer, teaching hunter’s safety, or giving rides through the Cycling Without Age program. Family gatherings and being a father to Brandon brought him much joy.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years: Joan (Nelson) and a son and daughter-in-law: Brandon and Cheyanne, mother: Jane, sister: Christine Okonmah, brother: Patrick (Kay), sister-in-law: Ann Bechard (Scott Pechacek), brother-in-law: Mark Nelson (Cindy Harley) and six beloved nieces and nephews: James Rolbiecki, Francis Okonmah, Monica Rolbiecki-Severson, Amanda Larson, Adam Bechard and Laura Bechard.
